ABU DHABI: Etihad Airways will commence direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Kraków in the summer of 2026, a development warmly welcomed by the CEO of the Małopolska Tourism Board, Grzegorz Biedroń.

The move is seen as a strategic step towards boosting tourism and fostering deeper cultural connections between Poland and the United Arab Emirates.

Biedroń highlighted that the new route will significantly ease travel for UAE tourists eager to discover the Małopolska region, with Kraków at its core.

Known as one of Europe’s oldest and most picturesque cities, Kraków offers a blend of historical richness, cultural depth, and natural beauty. The tourism board aims to position the city as a preferred destination for Gulf travellers.

Tailored experiences ahead

Preparations are underway to launch customised travel programmes for Emirati and other Gulf visitors. These will include family-friendly itineraries, luxury stays, and nature-based adventures.

Biedroń also stressed the importance of collaborating with travel agencies and tour operators in both nations to ensure seamless experiences for incoming travellers.
